I had the ding dong cake today
and it is really the most delicious decadent cake
I've ever had. The fudge icing was dark and
boarded on bittersweet and the buttercream filling
was so rich I was in heaven. The name is
appropriate...every item is Essential to our every
day well being!

Who we are, how we started, and

Essential Chocolate Desserts started as a wholesale bakery
and has now grown and evolved to meet the needs of
chocoholics and dessert lovers in Southern California and
across the nation!

Foodies know Essential
Chocolate Desserts
for the delicious macaroons, cakes, dessert bars, brownies,
cupcakes, gourmet “Ding Dongs,” cookies and other treats it
provides to cafés and restaurants. Hearing demand from these
customers and Culver City locals, several years ago,
Essential Chocolate finally opened our front door to welcome
everyone to come in and enjoy our fantastic products
directly.
What
makes Essential
Chocolate Desserts
different is that we are not exclusively a bakery nor are we
a coffeehouse. We consider ourselves as a dessert company
committed to satisfying the taste buds of the traditional
chocoholic as well as the eclectic foodie, whether we serve
you from behind our retail counter or indirectly when you
buy our goods in your neighborhood coffeehouse, café or
restaurant.

for our rich, fudgy
brownies
and beautiful, handmade Moon Pies
and unsurpassed buttercream frosting, Essential
Chocolate Desserts
has a full line of baked goods. You’ll find everything from

distance from Sony Studios, and our newest location at The
